Kathy has completed a certified dementia practitioner course and is the only certified CDP instructor in Kansas recognized by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. She feels grateful to offer essential dementia care training statewide, catering to health professionals on their journey to obtain CDP certification, as well as to individuals whose lives are affected by dementia. Taught both in-person and online, the CDP certification class equips participants with key tools to ease tension, frustration, and conflict for everyone involved. With a shared common goal and the practice of new, proven skills, individuals with dementia experience less decline and anxiety, and in some cases, medication needs are reduced or even eliminated.

CDP CLass Information

NCCDP certification class, Zoom and in-person 8 AM - 5 PM CST

Class Dates for 2025: Sept 13, 19, Oct 11, 17, Nov 15, 21

The cost of the CDP certification class is $225.00, which includes a workbook and forms necessary for certification. Participants can earn 7 CEUs, available for nurses, while others can apply for CEUs through their parent organization. Please note there is a small charge for certification paperwork to the NCCDP.

Certificates of Attendance will be provided for all healthcare professionals completing the dementia care training. This course is provided by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) based in Sparta, N.J.

This is a required class to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). ONLY 25 participants accepted for this class.

Lunch is on your own. Absentees will not receive refunds.
